‘Placebo RE:CREATED” is out next June 19th. The 30th anniversary of the British band tour kicks off next September and the program features songs from ‘Placebo’ and ‘Without You I’m Nothing’.
Placebo (IG: @placeboworld) announces ‘Placebo RE:CREATED’, a new reimagining of the record that introduced them to the world in 1996. The album will be released on June 19, 2026, by Elevator Lady Ltd via AWAL.

The band has released a new version of their hit single, ‘Bruise Pristine’. Reworked by the band using the original tapes, it breathes new life into the 30-year-old track.

Placebo have expanded it, making it heavier and more dynamic than the original, even restoring a previously omitted section in French that listeners can now hear for the first time.

‘Placebo RE:CREATED’ features reimagined and enhanced versions of all ten songs from the original album, plus two bonus tracks from the original edition, capturing the evolution of these songs through decades of live performances while retaining the raw spirit that defined them.

The album was recreated by Brian Molko and Rob Kirwan from the original tapes and mixed by Adam Noble.

Speaking about the new album, Placebo explained: «We consider this album a director’s cut. We didn’t recreate it from scratch. We went back to the original tapes and incorporated thirty years of experience performing these songs live into the album.»

«When we made the first album – the British group added – we didn’t yet have the studio experience or knowledge to fully translate what we had in mind. Over the years, the songs have taken on a life of their own on stage; they’ve grown, developed, and in a sense, completed themselves.»

«It’s a celebration of our origins – Placebo quoted – and a meeting point between who we were then and who we are now. A way of honoring that innocence, while also allowing the songs to exist with the scale, confidence, and energy of the band we’ve become.»
