Gabriele Gori is a tattoo enthusiast with an interest in ancient tattoo history and techniques. Since age 16, he has been studying tattooing cultures from all around the world. For his degree in Oriental Cultures and Languages, Gabriele wrote the thesis “L’arte del tatuaggio nella Cina antica” (“The art of tattooing in the ancient China”), which investigated Chinese tattooing from ancient to contemporary times. In 2019, Gabriele conducted ethnographic studies at Tharu villages in the Bardya National Park area of Nepal, specifically focusing on the Tharu tattoo culture.
