The artwork of Olivier Ledroit, the French master of dark fantasy illustration, moves from the two-dimensional world of paper into the third dimension through a capsule collection created for Flibustier Paris. Four 925 sterling silver jewellery pieces and an original, previously unpublished artwork will take centre stage in an exhibition running from October 22 to November 21, 2026.

Olivier Ledroit is considered one of the most important figures in contemporary French fantasy and dark fantasy illustration. His name is first and foremost associated with Les Chroniques de la Lune Noire, created in collaboration with François Froideval, a series that helped define his distinctive visual language. Ledroit subsequently developed a personal artistic path through works such as Requiem, Chevalier Vampire, written by Pat Mills and published by Glénat, and Sha.

His style combines an extraordinary richness of detail with dark atmospheres, Gothic architecture, monstrous figures and medieval influences. Over time, this aesthetic has become a point of reference for a generation of readers and enthusiasts of fantasy and dark art.

Olivier Ledroit’s visionary world meets that of Flibustier Paris, the Parisian maison specialising in handcrafted 925 sterling silver jewellery, in a collaboration that brings the language of dark fantasy illustration directly onto the surface of metal through four pieces of artist jewellery. For this collaboration, Ledroit has translated some of the most recognisable elements of his universe into the three-dimensional world of jewellery: Gothic figures, fantastical creatures, dark symbolism and richly baroque details.

The capsule thus represents a meeting point between illustration, jewellery and dark culture — three forms of expression that share a strong focus on symbolism, detail and the creation of a distinctive visual identity.
