A huge passion for ink (“I would like to turn my tattooed body into a career”) and the love of a pet always by her side: this is Maddi and now we want to hear the whole story.
Hi Maddi, I know that you love bikes and cars, that you have a dog (Lou) that you love dearly, and that you are a big fan of tattoo art. Would you like to tell me the rest?”
Absolutely – motorcycles and cars are a huge part of my everyday life. As long as it moves and takes me out into the world, I’m in. My dog Lou (IG: @maddi_jcw) is always by my side – she’s not just my most loyal companion, but also my most treasured possession.

I’m from Germany, I’m 32 years old and work in elderly care, a job that truly fulfills me and keeps me grounded every day. And as you can see, I’m a huge fan of tattoo art. Beyond that, I’m passionate about honest conversations, gaining new perspectives, and anything that pushes me beyond my comfort zone. The truth is that I love being on the move – staying still just isn’t for me.

How did you get into tattoo art in your life? Was there a specific moment when you started this adventure with ink?
I got my first tattoo when I was 16 – and even during the session, I knew it wouldn’t be my last. That experience gave me so much that it quickly became clear: tattoos would be a permanent part of my life. Since then, they’ve been telling my story and giving me strength. That first moment into tattoo art definitely changed something within me and ignited a passion that’s still with me today.
I see that you are a big fan of Black-n-Grey tattoos and honestly I don’t see you wearing colored pieces. How do you choose the subjects of your tattoos? Do you bring the idea or do you let the tattoo artist advise you?
I’m generally a happy, positive person, but Black and Grey just feel like my colors – both in clothing and in tattoos.
I love the dark, moody aesthetic!
I often come up with the core ideas myself, but my tattoo artist knows exactly how to turn them into something greater. He (Andreas Bittmann. Ed) adds depth, meaning, and detail – and that’s what makes it so special to me.

Do you have a trusted tattoo artist who you would like to mention here for the beautiful work they have done on your body?
I only go to one artist – Andreas Bittmann from Climbach (FB: @Shaman). Andreas Bittmann is not just a tattoo artist, he’s also a painter, a free spirit, a life artist, and a real role model. At this point, he’s the only one I allow to work on my skin. He’s become not just an artist I admire, but a close friend. He knows my story and truly understands me – and that comes through in his work.
What I love most is when he works freehand and creates something unique directly on my skin.

What is your relationship with tattoo conventions?
Believe it or not, I’ve actually never been to one – even though I’d absolutely love to go. It’s high on my to-do list, especially attending one outside of Germany. I imagine the atmosphere, the artists, and the exchange of ideas must be something really special.

Tell me, if you have one, a professional or personal dream that you would like to see take shape one day? Maybe already in 2025 or at most next year…
Definitely. My biggest dream is to turn my body art into a career – to appear in magazines, maybe be on a cover, take part in exciting photo-shootings, and explore the world through it.
For me, that would be the perfect blend of passion, self-expression, and adventure.

Can you tell me a little about dog Lou? What are her passions and the things that make him happy?
Lou came into my life during one of my darkest times – I rescued her, and she rescued me. The bond between us is deep and indescribable. She’s the love of my life and my greatest source of strength. Her happiest moments are when she’s simply by my side – no matter where I am or what I’m doing. As long as we’re together, everything is okay.

And your last famous words are…?
In the end, it’s not about what others think, but about staying true to who you are. Chase your dreams, follow your goals, and never let anyone define your path. Dare to be different!
