He is from Shymkent, has more than 10 years of experience and prefers to bring his impactful realistic tattoos (both colored and black & grey) around the world.
Alex, one thing that intrigued me about you is that you’re not just a tattoo artist, but also a blogger. Is that true?
Yes, in a way that’s true – I share my experience and work process on social media (IG: @__goodman). For me, it’s a way to show not only the final result, but also the journey behind it.

At what age did you become interested in tattoos, and what have been the most significant milestones in your artistic journey so far?
I’m a tattoo artist from Kazakhstan with over 10 years of experience. My interest in tattooing started at a young age through my passion for drawing and Realism style. Over the years, I’ve gone from my first works to large-scale, complex projects, working with clients from all over the world. I’ve also conducted workshops for beginner tattoo artists, which have become an important part of my professional growth.

You’re originally from Shymkent, a city in Kazakhstan. Do you have your own tattoo studio there, or are you also a traveling tattoo artist?
I’m originally from Shymkent, but I don’t have my own studio – I work as a guest artist (IG: @__goodman) and travel around the world. Being on the road allows me to grow, exchange experiences, and work with different audiences.

What’s the tattoo scene like in your country?
The tattoo scene in Kazakhstan is developing fast: the level of artists is rising, and the demand for high-quality tattooing is clearly increasing.

Let’s talk about your style. It’s Realism, but not limited to that, in the sense that there are various influences in your way of portraying people, animals, statues, or fictional characters. What do you think?
Yeah, my main style is Realism, but I don’t limit myself to it. In my work, I often combine different artistic elements, playing with textures, contrast, and atmosphere.
For me, it’s important not just to recreate an image, but to create something with character and depth.

What exactly do you want to express with your work? You don’t seem like someone who focuses exclusively on color or Black-n-Grey tattoos, since you know how to work both ways. Yours seems more like a 100% approach to tattoo art…
Through my work, I aim to express emotion and inner state. Technique (whether color tattoos or Black-n-Grey subjects) is just a tool for me. What really matters is the idea, composition, and final impact. I always strive for a complete approach, paying attention to every detail.

What are your major guest spots and tattoo conventions scheduled for the coming months?
I have guest spots planned across Europe, including Germany, as well as participation in various international tattoo conventions. Traveling and working in different countries is an essential part of my career today.

And your last famous words…?
Tattooing is not just an image on the skin – it’s a moment that stays with a person forever. That’s why it’s important for me to put not only technique into every piece, but also meaning, emotion, and a part of myself. And most importantly – to never stop feeling what you do. That’s what makes the work truly alive.
