From 4 to 6 November, the 19th China International Tattoo Convention was held in the city of Hangzhou, organised under the direction of Liu Qiang, owner of OG Tattoo Supply.
This convention has always aimed to maintain an international spirit: alongside the many tattoo artists from China, there were also numerous artists from Europe, the United States, South America, and various parts of Asia.

The entire event revolved around the tattoo contests, which filled all three days of the convention. Chinese tattoo artists have reached an impressive technical level, and it was truly spectacular to see so many full body suits presented on stage at the same time.

One noteworthy point is that in less than ten years, many young tattooers have progressed through stages that took more than thirty years to develop in the West. As a result, many of them may not yet have had the chance to observe how tattoos heal and age over a long period.

It will be very interesting to see how these intricate and beautiful back pieces will age in 5 or 10 years time.

Chinese tattoo artists display remarkable discipline and dedication, much like many emerging talents throughout Asia.

Asia is increasingly becoming the new frontier of tattooing—one to watch closely in the coming years.
