“It fits me Perfectly”: read an extract of the editorial by Miki Vialetto

We wear tattoos, choosing the ones that fit best on our bodies, make us feel good, and are able to express who we are. Just like nice clothes: they don’t have to be super beautiful, but just look great on us when we look at ourselves in the mirror. This might seem like a purely aesthetic argument, but actually there’s a vision of tattooing behind this idea which we should always bear in mind: the body is at the heart of everything….

Mark Mahoney: Walking from the Pike to Beverly Hills

Nowadays people know him as a celebrity tattoo artist, since his Shamrock Social Club on Sunset Blvd. – in the heart of Hollywood – is like a well-worn red carpet that has ushered in some very famous film actors and actresses. Yet if we change perspective and shift our focus from his devoted celebrity clients, in reality Mark Douglas Patrick Mahoney is one of the pioneers of black and grey single needle. His cultural background in tattoo art is enormous, as he has helped shape tattoo history, moving from the East to the West Coast, and from the Pike to Beverly Hills. So allow us to introduce you to Mr. Mahoney: a light-hearted, elegant dandy, sporting a stylish designer outfit with an eye for detail.

Teneile Napoli: Express yourself

She became a tattoo artist after pursuing artistic studies in which she developed other forms of expression. Today she truly is an excellent tattooist, and the perfect manager of her famous Garage Ink Manor on the Australian Gold Coast. She is also a renowned model, something she adores doing because it helps highlight tattoo art (thanks to her amazing body). In short: she’s a volcano bubbling with ideas and creativity, with a heart that’s very fond of tattooing.
