Salvador Dalì Tattoos: Inspired by Dreams
Salvador Dalì

Last 23th of January it was the anniversary of the death of Salvador Dalì (1904-1989), one of the most controversial and famous artists of the twentieth century. Tha Spanish painter explored Cubism as well as Futurism and Metaphysical painting, before finally turning to Surrealism: he is considered to be one of the leaders in this movement.

His paintings are filled with symbols and strange perspectives, odd and strange in the eyes of many, realistic in details but also irrational and bizarre. They reveal a dreamy world full of deformed and juxtaposed objects, and hallucinatory characters.

Dalì’s artworks combine a profound respect for the traditions of the past with intensely modern feelings. His style still influences a lot of artists and creatives, as well as many tattoo artists and common people who pay homage to his art and personality with tattoos.

Today we want to celebrate him with this gallery… Get inspired!

The fact that I myself, at the moment of painting, do not understand my own pictures, does not mean that these pictures have no meaning; on the contrary, their meaning is so profound, complex, coherent, and involuntary that it escapes the most simple analysis of logical intuition.
