“Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Boog. I’ve been drawing all my life and I’ve been tattooing since I was fourteen.”
This is how Boog presented himself a few years ago.
He spoke passionately about his work: “The sense of accomplishment on each and every sheet of flash I finish, the actual creation of an idea that wasn’t there before […] your blood start pumping, the exhilaration of seeing another sheet of flash being born, to me is almost like seeking the birth of a child”.
We want to hold him in our hearts forever like this. Even if he left us prematurely, his art will always be with us: his tattoos, his drawings, and his history will remain forever, to be admired and loved.
We are not only talking about drawings and ink on skin: this is his precious heritage, his heart and his soul …“it’s ghetto, it’s urban, it’s raw, it’s beautiful imagery… From street with love”.
Rest in peace, Boog. You will never be forgotten, you will always be with us.
