No one can hear you scream (again)

‘Alien: Covenant’ will open soon in United States and UK. For director Ridley Scott other prequels will follow linking to the original ’79 state of art movie…

The time is over. ‘Alien: Covenant’ – directed by Ridley Scott and adapted to script by Michael Green and Jack Paglen – is scheduled to be released May 12 in the United Kingdom and May 19 in the United States. For the saga lovers of the creepy monster coming out of space, this very awaited ‘Covenant’ is the sequel to the 2012 film ‘Prometheus’, aka the second instalment in the ‘Alien’ prequel series, aka the sixth instalment overall in the ‘Alien’ film series and the third directed by Scott himself.

The cast is huge and impressive: Michael Fassbender (starring Walter, an android survived by the unlucky Prometheus expedition, very similar to David of the previous film), Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demián Bichir, just to mention few. The plot tells about the crew of the colony ship Covenant finding what they believe to be an uncharted paradise. It soon reveals itself to be a dark and dangerous world inhabited by the original David and monstrous creatures that start to hunt them.

According to director Scott, ‘Alien: Covenant’ would be the first of three additional films in the ‘Alien’ prequel series, before linking up with the original ‘Alien’, the 1979 movie masterpiece. «Maybe there will even be a fourth film before we get back into the Alien franchise.», Ridley told to media. The screenplay for the third prequel film was written during production of ‘Alien: Covenant’ and now just finished. Production is scheduled to begin in 2018. But now let’s follow the Covenant crew waiting for “something” to happen. And it will be unbearable as usual…
