Allow us to introduce Sanne, a Dutch graphic designer and lover of American Traditional Tattoos. She is our guest for this episode in the popular feature Have a Nice Weekend. Her absolute fashion must haves? Band shirts & Vans. She is the classic Girl Next Door that lots of tattoo lovers woule die for and she wishes you all a Nice Weekend.
Hello Sanne would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi my name is Sanne, 25 years old and I live in the southern region of the Netherlands.
When did you first get into tattoos?
I got my first tattoo when I was 15 years old. I wanted some reminder of my mum, who passed away when I was 5 years old. I like the fact that I can express myself through my tattoos and be a little different from most people.
Who has tattooed you and why your choice of tattoos?
I have been tattooed by various artists, most of them Dutch artists such as Frankie Deny, Simone Schmitz and others. When I started to get more tattoos I liked the idea of getting artworks by multiple different artists from different countries. I always try to get tattooed when I go on holiday (Laurent Trelaun) or visiting tattoo conventions (Paul Dobleman, Stef Bastian). I really like the look of American Traditional Tattoos. You know what they say, bold will hold!
What do you do for a living?
I work as a graphic designer for a brand that sells hair extensions. I manage their social media and produce content. The fact that i can use my creativity is one of the main reasons why I love my job.
What are your interests? You’re really into fashion aren’t you?
Yeah I am. It’s yet another way to express myself. I always try to create a lot of different outfits with just a couple of different pieces. My absolute fashion must haves are band shirts & vans.
You are going to star in the feature Have a Nice Weekend for our readers, so would you like to say hello to them and tell them something about what you are doing in this period of lockdown and what your motto is?
During this lockdown I still go to work part time, I’m so happy about this so I can keep some kind of rhythm. In my free time when I’m not binge watching my fave shows or listening to my vinyls, I’m creating content for my instagram. The extra free time gives me some space to try new things and experiment a bit.
I’m sorry… I don’t really have a motto!
